A good everyday training
ariat, wet weather, trail riding boot. I purchase Ariat brand
boots for my riding because they fit me so well and they are
very durable. These are comfortable, but not quite as
comfortable as my last pair, and I think that is due to the
style rather than fit. I prefer boots that come up a little
higher for trail and Western riding, but for their style, they
are a very good shoe. They slip in and out of the stirrups
easily and seat my spurs fine. One advantage these have over
my last shoe is that they are not designed specifically for
cold weather so I should be able to use them in the summer
months, which I was unable to do with my last pair. Another
benefit is that they are good for hiking as well as riding,
which on my longer trail rides, I do like to get off and walk
for a while. They are a riding shoe though and consequently
have a smooth sole, unlike a regular hiking shoe, so I would
not recommend them for someone looking specifically for hiking
shoes. Overall, I don't think you can go wrong buying a pair
of Ariats, it's just what style you prefer. This boot is
sporty and so comfortable. Only one complaint, the sole is
great on everything but snow and ice, there is not enough
tread on the bottom of the boots for that, Rugged, outdoor
